Zusammenfassung

Jobtailor is seeking a QA Engineer to define and improve QA processes, and participate across the full project lifecycle from requirements review to release testing.

The role emphasizes hands-on testing, test automation, and close collaboration with developers to ensure high-quality software across desktop, mobile, and web platforms.

Qualifikationen

• 1–2 years of QA experience, including exposure to test automation.
• Bachelor's Degree preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Practical, hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks, with the ability to create and maintain automated tests.
• Ability to work and adapt across different programming languages.
• Knowledge and working experience in software QA processes and methodologies.
• Experience working in an Agile or software development lifecycle methodology.
• Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
• Sound professional judgment with the ability to navigate ambiguity.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git version control is a plus.
• Experience testing desktop, mobile, or web applications is a plus.
• Knowledge and/or experience with operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux is a plus.
• Knowledge and/or experience with virtualization technologies such as Docker, VMware, VirtualBox, or Google Cloud Virtual Machines is a plus.
• Comfort with at least two of the following tools or similar is a plus: Frameworks: Appium, Cucumber/Selenium, Robot Framework, PyTest, desktop automation frameworks, API/Web Service automation frameworks; Languages: Python, Java, PowerShell, Bash, Batch scripting

• Set out and continuously improve QA processes, ensuring products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
• Hands-on participation throughout the full project lifecycle — from reviewing requirements and building test plans to executing release testing.
• Collaborate closely with developers, stakeholders, and fellow engineers.
• Review product, feature, and design specifications to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Define user stories and create detailed test plans.
• Develop and maintain manual test cases.
• Drive automation efforts to increase testing efficiency and coverage.
• Support stakeholders in effort estimation and planning.
• Participate in sprint planning, standups, and other agile ceremonies.
• Perform feature, regression, and release testing.
• Write clear and concise bug reports and collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve issues.
• Proactively identify and implement improvements to product quality and testing processes.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, developers, and project leads to meet key dates, milestones, and progress reporting requirements.
