The company fulfills launch contracts for industry leaders, the world's most innovative startups, research institutions, government organizations, and international space agencies.

At the heart of our success are our state‑of‑the‑art separation systems. Our engineering team is responsible for the testing, validation, and quality assurance of these critical systems, from production to deployment in space.

We are looking for a Test Engineer - Mechanical Space Systems to join our team to develop and execute the tests we perform with our separation systems and with our satellite customers. Your role is based at our JFH - Engineering Office in Charlottenburg.

You are an excellent communicator and team player and are passionate about being part of a dynamic team that is driving the satellite industry forward.

  • Analyze test data and write reports.

  • Develop integration and check‑out procedures for launch site activities.

  • Design test fixtures and coordinate manufacturing with our suppliers.

  • Ensure Exolaunch products comply with internal specifications, customer requirements, and applicable standards.

  • Travel to launch sites and international customer facilities to support technical operations.

Your profile
  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field. Preferred is a background in mechanism design and mechatronics.

  • At least two years of experience in space hardware vibration testing and space standards (e.g. ECSS), particularly around mechanisms and structures. Testing experience in other industries is also welcomed.

  • Experience in working hands‑on with hardware.

  • Excellent written and spoken English.

  • Excellent technical communication skills.

  • Experience in working with CAD software such as Solidworks.

  • Positive and proactive self‑starter attitude and ability to work in a highly integrated team setting.

  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced and demanding environment.

  • Flexibility for frequent travel, occasionally at short notice.

Why us?

  • Modern, industrial style office in Berlin Charlottenburg
  • Access to an in‑house fitness studio at the HQ in Potsdamer Platz
  • All necessary IT equipment and office tools to perform your role effectively
  • Complimentary drinks, snacks, and fresh fruit, plus a well‑equipped office environment
  • Regular team gatherings, celebrations, and internal events
Travel Expectations
