OHB System AG in Bremen is seeking a Propulsion Test Engineer (m/f/d) to plan, develop and execute tests for space systems at equipment, subsystem and system levels.

You will work with flight, test and integration hardware, maintain test documentation, coordinate stakeholders, and support campaigns, launches and in-orbit verification, while traveling as needed.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or comparable technical qualification.
• Experience with flight, test, or integration hardware and verification activities.
• Proficiency with software tools for data acquisition, analysis, and evaluation of test results.
• Experience in cleanroom environments with strong quality and safety standards.
• High accountability, reliability and hands-on mindset with good communication and teamwork.

• Support test campaigns, launches and in-orbit verification and share lessons learned.

Propulsion Test Engineer (m/f/d)

Your Tasks

• Plan, develop, and execute tests at equipment, subsystem, and system level to verify and validate space systems
• Prepare, maintain, and continuously improve test documentation, including test plans, specifications, procedures, scripts, test reports, and non-conformance resolution activities
• Specify, procure, develop, maintain, and enhance test equipment and test infrastructures
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders in the planning, organization, and execution of test campaigns, including logistics, transportation, and test setup/decommissioning activities
• Provide technical leadership and support to colleagues and advise subsystem engineers on testing methodologies, hardware concepts, and verification strategies
• Support test campaigns, launch and commissioning activities, as well as in-orbit verification of space systems while ensuring effective knowledge transfer through lessons learned and best practices

Your Qualifications

• Completed degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable technical qualification
• Experience working with flight, test, or integration hardware and in performing technical testing and verification activities
• Proficiency with software tools for data acquisition, analysis, and evaluation of test results
• Experience working in cleanroom environments with a strong focus on quality and safety standards
• High level of accountability, reliability, and a hands-on mindset, combined with strong communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to travel extensively and work shifts during test campaigns, launch and early operations phases, and in-orbit verification activities
