Job summary

Hapimag Resort Westerland seeks a dedicated maintenance professional to join the team as a Technical. You will be involved hands-on in day-to-day operations, maintain and monitor facility systems, and coordinate with external service providers to ensure safe operation.

You will also participate in on-call duties, ensuring rapid response to repairs. The role suits someone with a strong practical mindset, qualified in a trade, and ready to lead on-site maintenance tasks while communicating

Qualifications

• Training in a trade (e.g., building technology, electrical, plumbing/HVAC, or similar).
• Role is suitable for highly motivated candidates stepping up from a second-in-command position with a focus on practical leadership.
• Strong hands-on mentality and enjoyment of practical work.
• Independent and goal-oriented approach to work.
• Good command of German for communicating within the team and with guests.
• Familiarity with using a computer and standard software programmes.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on involvement in day-to-day operations: maintenance, repairs, and servicing in the holiday apartments and public areas.
• Maintenance, monitoring, and administration of digital master lists for facility management.
• Ensuring the safe operation of all technical building systems and coordinating with external service providers.
• Carrying out ad hoc and emergency repairs on call, as well as taking part in the regular on-call rota.

The Hapimag Resort Westerland is centrally located yet close to the beach on the popular North Sea island of Sylt. Featuring comfortable holiday apartments, the resort offers our guests the perfect starting point for a relaxing island holiday. Our resort is looking for a dedicated individual to join our maintenance team as a Technical for a varied role.

What you can expect
