Job summary

Siemens in Nürnberg seeks a Training Specialist to develop and deliver hands-on training on power system protection for international teams and customers. You will coach customers and internal teams, tailor training programs, and run technical workshops to address evolving industry needs.

The role focuses on creating sustainable curricula and integrating new technologies, with willingness to travel and work across diverse groups. A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Several years of experience in electrification, power transmission and distribution, and protection.
• Advanced German and English skills; travel willingness.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver advanced training about power system protection and provide hands-on training under critical conditions.
• Support and coach customers and internal teams on topics related to power system protection and operations.
• Create a sustainable curriculum and develop training programs for customers.
• Facilitate workshops and simulations in technical operations.
• Contribute to development and improvement of scenarios, tools, simulations and frameworks for future-ready operations.
• Participate in R&D initiatives to integrate new technologies and evolving industry needs.

• You develop and deliver advanced training about power system protection and provide practical, hands‑on training under critical conditions.
• You support and coach customers and internal teams about topics related to power system protection and act as an advisor on operations to cover their needs and requirements.
• You create a sustainable curriculum and develop trainings programs for our customers.
• You facilitate workshops and simulations in technical operations.
• You support the development and improvement of scenarios, tools, simulations and frameworks for future‑ready operational performance.
• You are part of R&D initiatives to integrate new technologies and evolving industry needs into our solutions.

• You have several years of experience in electrification, power transmission and distribution, power system protection and a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field; Previous knowledge of SIPROTEC V, SIPROTEC 5 and/or SIPROTEC 4 is a plus.
• You have analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• You have advanced level of German and English.
• Willingness to travel and strong communication and interpersonal skills complete your profile.
