Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated (JLL) in Frankfurt am Main is seeking a Data Center Technical Manager to lead the delivery of hard services for a flagship data center site. You will act as deputy to the Account Lead, ensuring high quality operations, technical leadership, and continuous improvements across facilities, safety, and compliance.

The role requires an engineering background, fluency in German and English, and at least 10 years of data center operations experience within FM service

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or relevant experience.
• German and English, spoken and written.
• Minimum of 10 years data centre operations experience related to FM service delivery.
• Thorough understanding of data center systems related to operational delivery.
• Thorough understanding of IT raised floor, co‑location, hyper‑scale, and cloud environments.
• Prior experience working with mission critical programs, procedures, and DCIM/MCIM/CMMS systems.
• Experience as a service provider.
• Hands‑on if required; reputation for delivering results
• Strong communicator, both verbally & written, in English
• Authorising engineer for Pressure Systems, Confined space and Electrical Systems (desirable)
• Quality Management knowledge and experience

Responsibilities

• Establish open and transparent relationships with client managers, and business partners such as EHS and Quality leads, to establish trust and credibility in the delivery of JLL’s services
• Provide technical leadership and support the operational and maintenance delivery
• Working closely with the account lead to organise the site team and supply chain to meet the contractual outputs and objectives as set out in the contractual SLAs within the MSA
• Deliver against the set KPI’s around down time, costs, maintenance and process compliance, and secure continuous improvements in each of the KPI area’s
• Provide out of hours call out support
• Coordinate with the on-site teams to ensure that Planning & scheduling of PPM in all service delivery aspects
• Assist in the preparation of operational procedures, emergency, and contingency plans
• Is proactive through securing in-depth root cause corrective actions, propose continuous reliability improvements and the implementation of audits
• Drive and promote a safety culture including subcontractors, suppliers and visitors
• Manage quality compliance (regulatory, client and JLL) for all systems and processes in JLL scope of works. Liaises with the EHS and Quality teams. Implement best practice from within and outside of JLL

Objective:

The technical manager role is pivotal in supporting the Account Lead in developing, maintaining, and enhancing relationships with the client and other key stakeholders. The role will act as the deputy for the Account Lead. The role is responsible for self-delivery of technical services, deployment of JLL’s CEM programme. Other key areas of responsibility include supplier management, mobilisation/transition, and compliance. To be the trusted partner of Client and support their growth as the expand. . Reporting – Account Lead Responsibilities of the Technical Manager This position will ensure high quality and consistent delivery of hard services across a Data Centre site. The role will have specific responsibility for the management of key technical services. The role will involve continuous improvement, day-to-day facilities coordination and management of ad‑hoc projects for the client’s facilities.
