Annapurna in Berlin is seeking a technical lead to own the technology function as it scales. This hands-on leadership role is split roughly 50/50 between technical execution and leadership, setting direction, architecture, development, infrastructure and data, and mentoring engineers.

You’ll collaborate with senior leadership to translate business needs into scalable solutions and drive AI, automation and modern engineering practices across the company as it grows.

Qualifikationen

• 6+ years of software engineering experience.

• Strong backend and software architecture experience.

We are working with a high-growth, technology-driven consumer business in Berlin looking for a technical lead to take ownership of its small but scaling technology function.

This is a hands-on leadership role, split roughly 50/50 between technical execution and leadership. You will set the technical direction, lead a small engineering team and remain directly involved in architecture, development, infrastructure and data.

Ownership:

• Own the engineering, technology and data strategy
• Lead and develop a small team of engineers across software and data
• Make key architectural and technical decisions
• Remain hands-on with development, reviews, infrastructure and tooling
• Own the roadmap for the company's internal technology platforms
• Work directly with senior leadership to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Establish engineering standards and support future technical hiring
• Drive practical use of AI, automation and data across the business

Python | FastAPI | TypeScript | React | PostgreSQL | BigQuery | dbt | GCP | Docker | Terraform | CI/CD | AI/LLM tooling

The optimal profile:

• 6+ years of software engineering experience
• Previous experience as a Tech Lead, Engineering Lead, Head of Engineering, Principal Engineer or similar
• Strong backend and software architecture experience
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and modern engineering practices
• Previous experience mentoring or leading engineers
• Comfortable remaining hands-on rather than moving into pure management
• Strong product mindset and pragmatic approach to technology
• Excellent communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders
• Fluent English; German is a plus
