You will join a fire safety team who lead on fire risk management, support major projects to deliver fire safety initiatives, and work with contractors and stakeholders to deliver effective fire safety outcomes. You will also develop and deliver fire safety training and awareness sessions to a wide range of teams and stakeholders across the organisation, helping to embed a strong fire safety culture.
Are you an experienced Technical Fire Safety Advisor with strong knowledge of fire safety legislation, British Standards and building regulations and all current fire safety guidance? Can you provide expert technical advice, manage complex fire safety risks, and support compliance across diverse property portfolios? Do you have experience in fire risk assessments, fire engineering matters? Are you a confident communicator and problem solver who can influence stakeholders and drive continuous improvement in fire safety and deliver training where required?, We're looking for a highly motivated fire safety professional who combines strong technical expertise with a collaborative and team-focused approach. You'll work closely with colleagues across Housing, Asset Management, Building Safety and Compliance, building strong relationships and contributing positively to a supportive team environment. You'll be confident in providing expert advice, assessing complex fire safety issues on site, and developing practical, risk-based solutions. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are essential, as is the ability to engage effectively with residents, contractors and regulators. The role also includes designing and delivering fire safety training to a wide range of stakeholders across the organisation. We offer flexible and remote working arrangements, balanced with site visits and inspections across the borough. Location The job is primarily based in Laurence House, Catford, London,SE6 4RU, but we operate a hybrid approach where you will be required to work both in the office and from home on a regular basis.
