Babcock International is seeking a Senior Safety Case Engineer to join our dedicated Business Winning team in the UK. The role is based at one of our main sites with hybrid working options and travel to Cavendish Nuclear and customer locations as required.

Safety Case Engineer within our Business Winning, you'll bring your deep safety case knowledge to the early phases of project development. This is a full-time role based at one of our main sites: Warrington (Cheshire), Preston (Lancashire), Leicester (Leicestershire), Newbury (Berkshire), or Bristol with travel to other Cavendish Nuclear and customer locations as required. Hybrid working arrangements are available.

Day-to-day you'll be required to:

• Lead safety-case contributions to major bids.
• Develop safety case scopes, schedules, and verification plans.
• Produce and review safety case documentation and technical reports.
• Support hazard identification and risk assessment processes.
• Promote collaboration and continuous improvement.

Essential experience for theSenior Safety Case Engineer:

• Proven experiencewithin a highly regulated environment.
• Experience contributing to safety case documentation.
• Understanding of ALARP principles and ONR Safety Assessment Principles.
• Ability to prepare technical analyses and safety submissions.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Qualifications of the Senior Safety Case Engineer:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant science or engineering discipline.
• Security Clearance - The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
