Xometry is seeking a detail-oriented Technical Engineering Advisor / DFM Engineer in Germany to support product development and the transition of designs into production. You will serve as a key link between customers, suppliers and internal teams to ensure manufacturability and successful production ramp-up.

Qualifikationen

• 7+ years of experience in CNC machining and/or sheet metal manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and problem-solving with drawings/designs.
• Fluent in English and German, able to communicate with diverse stakeholders.

• Perform routine Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews for high-end customer orders.
• Analyse and support optimization of part designs to ensure manufacturability.
• Conduct customer communication via phone and video calls regarding design and production issues.
• Maintain written communication with customers for problem-solving and technical clarification.
• Collaborate with partners and suppliers to resolve manufacturability challenges.
• Provide expertise in complaint handling (excluding formal RMA cases).

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Technical Engineering Advisor / DFM Engineer to support product development and manufacturing processes. In this role, you will act as a key link between customers, suppliers, and internal teams, ensuring manufacturability of designs and successful transition into production.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews for high-end customer orders
• Analyze and support optimization of part designs to ensure manufacturability
• Conduct customer communication via phone and video calls regarding design and production issues
• Maintain written communication with customers for problem-solving and technical clarification
• Collaborate with partners and suppliers (written, phone, video) to resolve manufacturability challenges
• Provide expertise in complaint handling (excluding formal RMA cases)
• Support continuous improvement of manufacturing and engineering processes
• Ensure clear and timely resolution of technical production issues

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in CNC machining and/or sheet metal manufacturing

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (CNC, sheet metal fabrication)
• Experience working with technical drawings and design-related problem solving

Languages

• Fluent and professional English
• Fluent and professional German

Working Conditions

• Working hours: CET (8:00–17:00 or 9:00–18:00)
• Remote work: possible (Germany / Poland / Bulgaria) or office-based (Munich)

• Holiday calendar: local law / Bavarian public holidays

Additional Information

• This role is initially planned as a replacement for approximately 1 year
• Extension is possible depending on team structure and business needs
