Job summary

Sapfix Ltd. seeks an Automotive System Expert for ADAS & Autonomous Driving to define and evolve vehicle function architectures with a focus on safety and security. You will collaborate across engineering teams to deliver reliable architectures for customer solutions.

The role requires strong leadership, experience in embedded systems, and fluency in German and English, with willingness to travel within Europe.

Qualifications

• University degree in electronics/EE/CS or equivalent.
• Several years in system architecture for ADAS and autonomous driving.
• Strong embedded software architecture background.
• Model-based systems engineering using Matlab/Simulink; SysML/UML.
• Familiar with Enterprise Architect or Rhapsody.
• Knowledge of safety, security, and SOTIF concepts.
• Fluent in German and English.

Responsibilities

• Define system and software architectures for ADAS/Autonomous driving functions.
• Ensure high reliability with respect to functional safety and cyber security.
• Lead design evolution of architectures for customer functions.
• Collaborate with function/platform developers for optimal solutions.
• Explore new concepts via proofs of concept for ADAS/AD.
• Coach teams on development deliverables and architecture.
• Lead new project opportunities including effort estimation and sizing.
• Analyze customer requirements to build value propositions for services.
• Build a roadmap for capability building in Germany across OEM/Tier1.
• Coordinate with Sales, Pre-sales and Global Delivery teams.
• Demonstrate leadership and ability to engage multiple organization levels.
• Willingness to travel within Europe and globally as needed.

Skills

• Completed university degree in electronics, electrical engineering, computer science or a comparable field of study
• Several years of professional experience in the field of system architecture with focus on ADAS and autonomous driving solutions.
• Strong technical background in the field of ADAS/AD (Sensing, communication networks, ECUs, functions)
• Have a strong knowledge of embedded software architecture.
• Have good knowledge of model-based systems engineering using. Matlab/Simulink, software design principles and software modelling using SysML/UML. You have experience in using tools like Enterprise Architect, or Rhapsody.
• Good understanding of feature development cycle (requirements /architecture/ validation/ SW test/ embedding)
• Understanding of key architectural drivers (Safety, Security, SOTIF)
• You take technical leadership and initiative to drive ideas to solutions. You look for the big picture, you are open minded and eager to learn.
• You are a networking person that is experienced in creating or working within architecture communities, large scale projects and distributed organizations.
• You are familiar with automotive methods and processes as well as the SAFE agile framework.

Responsibilities

• As an Automotive System Expert for ADAS & AD Solutions you define system and software architectures of vehicle functions realizing state-of-the-art ADAS and autonomous driving solutions.
• Realize system and software architectures with highest reliability in terms of functional safety, and cyber security.
• Responsible for the design and evolution of system and software architectures for customer functions and solutions.
• Collaborate with function developers and platform developers to find the best architectural solutions.
• Define and work on proof of concept to explore new concepts and technologies for autonomous driving solutions.
• Coach the Software Development teams in executing the development deliverables • Define and work on proof of concept to explore new concepts and technologies for ADAS/AD.
• Responsible for leading new project acquisition phase as an architect – build new technical solutions, effort estimation and team sizing for potential business opportunities.
• Analyzing the customer requirements and build value proposition for engineering service offerings
• Build technical road map for capability building in Germany to support OEM and Tier1 customers • Collaborate with internal cross functional teams – Sales, presales, technical center of excellence, Global delivery pool and project management team
• Strong leadership and relationship-building skills including the ability to relate constructively to all levels of an organization (internal & customers)
• Flexible to travel within Europe and if necessary globally on business need basis
