An ambitious and fast-growing renewable energy developer is expanding its in-house expertise and is looking to appoint a Senior Permitting Expert to strengthen its technical permitting function. The company focuses exclusively on large-scale renewable energy projects across Germany. With a lean structure and strong growth ambitions, this role offers high responsibility, direct influence on projects, and close collaboration with development and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage permitting processes for large-scale BESS projects
• Prepare, review, and coordinate permit applications, technical documentation, and approval packages
• Work hands-on with CAD and technical drawings, layouts, and site plans
• Act as the technical interface between engineering, development, external planners, authorities, and consultants
• Coordinate with local authorities, grid operators, and other stakeholders throughout the permitting phase
• Identify permitting risks early and develop mitigation strategies
• Support projects through early development to RTB, with a strong focus on technical feasibility and compliance
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal permitting standards and processes

Your Profile

• Several years of experience in permitting, planning, or technical project development within renewable energy
• Background in solar PV, wind, BESS, or similar energy / infrastructure projects
• Strong technical understanding, including experience with CAD and technical drawings
• Solid knowledge of German permitting and planning procedures
• Comfortable working in a hands-on, office-based role within a dynamic team
• Structured, detail-oriented, and confident working independently
• Fluent in German; English is an advantage
