Zusammenfassung

Berlin International College is seeking a German as a Foreign Language teacher to cover A1 and A2 levels. You will teach beginners up to A2 and prepare the internal BIC level test at the end of each course. Official A1/A2 telc exams are conducted externally at an licensed centre and are not part of the course.

Classes are held on-site in Berlin with potential online teaching. Availability for selected Saturdays and intensive weeks is required, and familiarity with telc formats is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Qualification in German as a Foreign Language (DaF/DaZ) or comparable teaching experience.
• At least one year of experience teaching German at beginner level (A1/A2) to groups of 5+ students.
• German language at native or professional level.
• Available for classes on selected Saturdays and intensive weeks.
• Familiar with telc A1/A2 formats (a plus).
• Intercultural experience (a plus).

Jobbeschreibung

Berlin International College is a private Studienkolleg. We prepare international students without a direct university entrance qualification (HZB) in language and subject-specific courses, enabling them to study at German universities. For the German language courses accompanying our Bachelor Prep Program 2026/2027 (T-Kurs and W-Kurs), we are looking for teachers of German as a foreign language at levels A1 and A2.

Aufgaben

You will teach German from beginner level up to A2, and you will prepare and conduct the internal BIC level test at the end of each course. The official A1 and A2 examinations are taken externally at a licensed telc examination centre and are not part of the course.

Timeframe:

• A1 course: 17.11.2026 – 30.01.2027
• A2 course: 02.02.2027 – 29.05.2027

Class times:

• Tuesdays and Thursdays in blocks of 90 min (1 block = 2 teaching units of 45 min each)
• Selected Saturdays with 4–6 teaching units
• Intensive weeks Monday to Thursday in December, March and April with 6 teaching units per day

• on site in Berlin, online teaching possible
