Legal and qualification requirements

Under Berlin state law we are only able to employ:

• Teachers who hold a university degree in primary/elementary school education and/or their QTS qualification. Without this qualification we are unable to offer any position, regardless of the applicants' experience. Qualifications such as TEFL or CELTA teacher are not adequate.
• Educators who are state-recognized or have an equivalent recognized qualification such as:
  • State-recognized social workers, graduate social educators and graduate pedagogues.
  • Persons who have applied for a lateral entry (Quereinstieg) through the Senate Department for Education, Youth and Family on the basis of a related pedagogical professional qualification.
  • Persons with equivalent qualifications obtained abroad and recognized by the state of Berlin.
  Without one of these qualifications we are unable to offer a position, regardless of the applicants' experience.
