Job summary

Vestas in Wegberg is seeking a Service Technician to keep wind turbines operating reliably through on-site servicing and maintenance. You will work in a small team to repair turbines, diagnose faults, and implement modifications for improved performance.

The role requires vocational technical training and a valid Class B license; fluent German and good English are expected. Onboarding, training, and a supportive environment are provided by Vestas.

Qualifications

• You have completed vocational training in electrical engineering, electronics, mechatronics, energy and building technology or have a comparable technical qualification.
• Very good German and good English skills round off your profile.
• You are familiar with Microsoft and iOS operating systems and apps, and ideally have experience with SAP.
• You are comfortable working at heights and can operate safely above ground level.
• A valid Class B driver’s license (BE may be supported).

Responsibilities

• You ensure wind turbines operate reliably by on-site servicing and maintenance.
• Working as part of a team (at least two people), you repair turbines and resolve faults.
• You analyse electronic and mechanical error messages and identify the cause.
• You carry out modification measures to enhance turbine performance.
• You document your work digitally in a simple and efficient way.
