Job summary

Vestas is seeking a Service Technician (m/f/d) for wind turbines located in Kassel. The role requires on-site servicing and maintenance of wind turbines with a team of at least two people. You will travel within Germany during the week and return home on weekends.

The ideal candidate has vocational training in electrical/electronic/mechatronic fields, familiarity with Microsoft Office and SAP, and strong German and English skills. Vestas offers onboarding, trainings, and a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out on-site servicing and maintenance to ensure wind turbines operate reliably.

• Document work digitally in a simple, efficient way.

Your responsibilities – here's where you can get involved!

• You ensure our wind turbines operate reliably by carrying out on-site servicing and maintenance
• Working as part of a team (at least two people), you repair turbines and resolve faults
• You analyse electronic and mechanical error messages and accurately identify the cause
• You carry out modification measures to enhance turbine performance
• You document your work digitally in a simple and efficient way

Your profile – what makes you a great fit!

• You have completed vocational training in electrical engineering, electronics, mechatronics, energy and building technology or have a comparable technical qualification
• You are willing to travel within Germany during the week; you will be back home at the weekend
• You are familiar with working with Microsoft and iOS operating systems and apps, and ideally have experience with SAP
• You are comfortable working at heights and can operate safely above ground level
• You have a valid Class B driver’s licence (financial support for Class BE may be available)
• Very good German and good English skills round off your profile
