Zusammenfassung

L&T Semiconductor Technologies in München seeks a System Architect – Multiphase Buck Controllers to define next-gen digital and analog multiphase controller architectures for AI, cloud, data center, and HPC applications.

You will translate customer requirements into innovative architectures, working with product management, silicon design, firmware, and strategic customers to deliver high-efficiency, scalable power management solutions with telemetry and reliability.

Qualifikationen

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.
  • Master's degree is preferred.
  • 10+ years of semiconductor or power electronics experience.
  • Experience developing products from concept through production.
  • Strong customer-facing technical experience.
  • Experience with hyperscale, server, networking, or AI computing platforms is highly desirable.

Aufgaben

  • Define complete controller architecture including current balancing and voltage regulation.
  • Develop adaptive control algorithms and fault protection schemes.
  • Design telemetry architecture and ensure scalability to high phase counts.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Firmware, Verification, and System Applications Engineering.
  • Drive architecture from concept through silicon implementation.
  • Define product requirements, functional specs, and performance targets.
  • Translate customer needs into executable product specifications.
  • Develop the 3–5 year technology roadmap for digital control and telemetry.

Jobbeschreibung

The System Architect – Multiphase Buck Controllers will define the next generation of digital and analog multiphase controller architectures for high-performance AI, Cloud, Data Center, Networking, and Enterprise Computing applications.

This is a highly technical individual contributor role responsible for translating future customer and market requirements into innovative controller architectures that enable industry-leading efficiency, transient response, scalability, telemetry, and reliability.

The architect will work closely with Product Management, Silicon Design, Firmware, Smart Power Stage architects, System Applications Engineering, and strategic customers to develop industry-leading power management solutions supporting AI accelerators, CPUs, GPUs, ASICs, and next-generation compute platforms.

Scope of Responsibility

Own the architecture and technical definition of:

  • Multiphase Buck Controllers
  • Digital Voltage Regulators (VR)
  • CPU/GPU Core Power Controllers
  • AI Accelerator Power Controllers
  • Digital Power Management Platforms
  • Telemetry and Power Monitoring
  • PMBus / AVSBus / SVID Interfaces

Target applications include:

  • AI Servers
  • GPU Platforms
  • High Performance Computing (HPC)
  • Networking Equipment
  • Storage Platforms

Key Responsibilities

Define complete controller architecture including:

  • Current balancing architecture
  • Voltage regulation
  • Adaptive control algorithms

Drive architecture from concept through silicon implementation.

Product Definition

Develop technical requirements including:

  • Product Requirements Specification (PRS)
  • Functional Specification
  • Feature Definition
  • Performance Targets
  • Design Trade-off Analysis

Work with Product Management to convert customer needs into executable product specifications.

Customer Requirement Analysis

Work directly with strategic customers to understand future platform requirements.

Translate customer challenges into differentiated product features.

Develop the 3–5 year technology roadmap covering:

  • Digital control
  • AI-assisted power management

Benchmark industry leaders and identify opportunities for technical differentiation.

Cross-Functional Technical Leadership

Provide technical leadership across:

  • Product Management
  • Firmware Development

  • System Applications Engineering

  • Product Marketing

Act as the technical authority throughout the product development lifecycle.

Control Algorithm Development

Define advanced control methodologies including:

  • Voltage Mode Control
  • Average Current Mode
  • Fast transient response optimization
  • Load-line implementation
  • Current balancing
  • Phase shedding
  • Light-load efficiency optimization

System Performance Optimization

Define system targets for:

  • Dynamic voltage regulation
  • Transient response
  • Output ripple
  • EMI
  • Thermal performance
  • Stability margins
  • Fault recovery

Collaborate with Smart Power Stage architects to optimize overall power conversion efficiency.

Industry Standards

Drive compliance with industry specifications including:

  • PMBus

  • Open Rack standards
  • Telemetry protocols

Benchmark competing products from industry leaders.

Customer Technical Support

Support strategic customer engagements by:

  • Presenting architecture concepts
  • Conducting technical workshops
  • Reviewing customer power architectures
  • Resolving complex technical challenges

Represent LTSCT as the technical expert for multiphase controller solutions.

Required Experience and Qualifications

Education

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.
  • Master's degree is preferred.

Experience
