Job summary

Coherent Corp. Berlin invites motivated students to join an internationally minded engineering team in a market-leading high-tech company.

You will operate semi-automated assembly equipment for electro-optical assemblies, assist with manual assembly and repair, perform mechanical characterization, and maintain technical documentation. Strong English and German (B2) skills are required, and you should be enrolled in a relevant technical degree program.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a scientific or technical degree program
• Good English skills
• German language skills at least at B2 level
• Team player with flexibility
• MS Office knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Job Description

• Preparation and operation of semi-automated and automated assembly and interconnection equipment for the manufacture of electro-optical assemblies in a development environment
• Manual activities related to the assembly, repair and preparation for repair of electro-optical assemblies
• Mechanical characterization of electro-optical assemblies and components using modern measurement microscopy and destructive testing methods
• Creation, preparation and maintenance of technical documentation

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a scientific or technical degree program, e.g. electrical engineering, electronics, microsystems engineering, process engineering, information and communications engineering, mechatronics or physics
• Basic knowledge of microsystems engineering and assembly and interconnection technology used in electronics manufacturing
• Technical aptitude and an interest in working with small and very small components and assemblies
• Ability to learn quickly, combined with a careful and structured approach to work
• Good working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Team player with flexibility and a reliable working style
• Good English skills
• German language skills at least at B2 level
