Job summary

Excelitas Technologies in Göttingen sucht einen Master-Absolventen im Photonics/Optical Engineering zur Entwicklung, Inbetriebnahme und Validierung komplexer Mess- und Prüfsysteme für opto-mechanische Module und Faserbaugruppen, unter Berücksichtigung relevanter Normen.

Sie entwerfen Testverfahren, definieren Anforderungen an mechanische Bauteile, Software und Komponenten, führen Messkampagnen durch und integrieren Ergebnisse in die Produktion.

Qualifications

• Master- oder Diplomabschluss in Photonics, Optik oder Lasertechnik.
• Fundierte Kenntnisse in Optik und optischer Geräteentwicklung.
• Erfahrung in Mess- und Qualifizierungstechnik, ideal in Herstellung/Montage optischer Systeme.
• Erfahrung in Auswertung, Darstellung und Analyse von Versuchsdaten.
• Fortgeschrittene Python-Scripting-Kenntnisse.
• Strukturierte, analytische und teamorientierte Arbeitsweise.
• Business fluent in German & English.

Responsibilities

• Entwicklung, Inbetriebnahme und Validierung komplexer Mess- und Prüfsysteme für Opto-Mechanik-Module und Fiber Assemblies, unter Berücksichtigung relevanter Normen.
• Entwurf von Testverfahren, Definition und Koordination von Anforderungen an mechanische Bauteile, Software und Komponenten.
• Durchführung von Sensitivitätsanalysen zur Identifikation relevanter Einflussgrößen.
• Planung, Durchführung und Auswertung von Messkampagnen für Produktentwicklung, Verifikation und Validierung.
• Definition von Testkriterien und Erstellung strukturierter Test- und Inspektionskonzepte.
• Implementierung entwickelter Messverfahren in die Produktion und Unterstützung bei Serienproduktion.
• Erstellung von Test-, Betriebs-, Wartungs- und Kalibrierungsdokumentation.

Your Responsibilities

• Development, commissioning, and validation of complex measurement and test systems for opto-mechanical modules and fiber assemblies, taking regulatory requirements into account
• Design of test procedures, as well as definition and coordination of requirements for mechanical components, software, and components used
• Conducting sensitivity analyses to identify relevant influencing and disturbance variables
• Planning, conducting, and evaluating measurement campaigns for product development, verification, and validation
• Defining test criteria and creating structured test and inspection concepts
• Implementing developed measurement procedures into production, as well as providing support and optimization during series production
• Preparing test, operating, maintenance, and calibration documentation

Your Profile

• Master’s degree in photonics, optical engineering, optical system or laser technology, physics or similar
• Solid knowledge about technical optics (e.g. optical imaging quality, aberrations, etc.) and optical device development
• Experience in measurement and qualification technology, preferably in connection to manufacturing/assembly of optical systems & fiber assemblies
• Experience in evaluation, representation & analysis of experimental data
• Advanced skills in Python scripting for data analysis
• Structured, analytical and team-oriented way of working
• Business fluent in German & English
