University of Europe for Applied Sciences Dubai seeks a Student Hub Advisor to join our UE Services team in Berlin and Hamburg. The role supports Bachelor’s and Master’s students with study-related questions and guidance, serving as the main contact point for the Student Hub Centre.

Responsibilities include delivering timely service, organizing student events, and outreach to at-risk students. A commercial apprenticeship and 1–3 years in student services are desirable; strong German/English

Qualifications

• Excellent German and English language skills.

• Experience running events or coordinating student activities.
• 1–3 years in student services or related field; completion of a commercial apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent and effective service to students in a timely manner.
• Respond to enquiries via different systems and in person.
• Organize student events and support clubs to increase engagement and sense of belonging.
• Outreach to students identified by faculty/staff at risk of dropping out and refer to support services.
• Identify students' issues and refer to appropriate support services.
• Keep information about campus support services up to date for referrals.
• Oversee and support peer mentor program and train student mentors.
• Share improvements to campus or learning environment with the responsible department.
• Other related duties.

Your Responsibilities

We are looking for a new colleague to join our UE Services - Student Hub Team in Berlin and Hamburg on a full-time basis /40 hour a week as soon as possible, who shares our vision of excellence in education and who is committed to making a difference in the lives of our students and staff.

The opportunity: The Student Hub Advisor supports students during their Bachelor’s or Master's degree studies by providing them with needed advice and support to successfully complete their degree program. The UE Student Hub Centre is the heart of operational services and the main contact point for students' questions concerning study-related topics or support needs: i.e. how do I apply for Bafög, how does health insurance work with health insurance, who should I talk to about -semester abroad -finding an internship - retake exams? where can I find an internship? I failed an exam, when can I retake it, how do I apply for a semester break? and much more. If you are a person who likes to help students learn skills and tools that will help them succeed in their career goals, this is the job for you.

Key Activities & Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent and effective service to students in a timely manner
• Respond to a wide variety of enquiries via different systems and in person
• Organize student events & support student clubs to increase student engagement & sense of belonging
• Outreach to students who have been identified by faculty or staff as being at risk of dropping out of UE and offer appropriate and relevant support to address their need(s). They will refer students to the relevant support based on their needs
• Help identify the student's issues or needs and refer them to the appropriate support service
• Keep up-to-date information about support services on campus to be able to refer students to these supports as needed
• Oversee & support peer mentor program, including helping to train student mentors
• Share suggestions for improvements to the campus/learning environment with the responsible department
• Other related duties

• 1-3 Years of Experience in the student services field or comparative field; Completion of a commercial apprenticeship; Demonstrated practical experience in service: ie hotel industry, customer-oriented administration and/or higher education
