Qualified candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field, several years of experience in strategic sourcing, and strong negotiation skills, with fluency in German and English.

Strategic Sourcing Manager (Electronics / PCBAs)

Job Location: Westhausen (Baden-Wuerttemberg) or Braunschweig (Niedersachsen) - Germany

Job Summary

The Strategic Sourcing Manager (Electronics / PCBAs) is responsible for managing and developing the sourcing strategy for electronic components within the global Power Tools business, with a strong focus on PCBAs. This role supports product development, drives supplier performance, and ensures cost efficiency, supply continuity, and compliance across the category. Working in a dynamic international environment, the position collaborates closely with Engineering, R&D, Quality, and Operations to shape and execute sourcing strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive PCB sourcing during product development and act as a key interface to Engineering teams
• Lead sourcing of PCBAs and electronic components, especially during product development phases
• Manage supplier selection, development, and performance, including commercial negotiations
• Develop and implement sourcing and category strategies aligned with business objectives
• Ensure targets for cost, quality, lead time, and supply continuity are achieved
• Manage component lifecycle risks, including obsolescence and transition scenarios
• Drive supplier development, qualification, and relationship management activities
• Contribute to cost reduction, working capital, and supplier consolidation initiatives
• Act as subject matter expert for PCBAs and electronic sourcing across the organization

Critical Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, or a related field
• Several years of experience in Strategic Sourcing / Procurement, ideally in electronics
• Experience in industrial manufacturing environments (e.g., low-volume / high-mix production)
• Proven experience in sourcing PCBAs and electronic components
• Strong supplier management and negotiation skills

• Ability to develop sourcing strategies considering cost, lead time, and supplier risk
• Experience managing component lifecycle and supplier-related transitions
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and advanced Excel skills
