HAHN Automation Group Holding GmbH is seeking a project procurement professional to develop strategies and manage end-to-end purchasing for complex mechanical and plant engineering projects.

You will collaborate with engineering, PM, and sales teams to secure competitive supplier terms, monitor deliveries, and optimize costs across international projects. Fluent German and English are required, with flexible working-time models in a hybrid setup.

Aufgaben

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for projects.
• Independently manage procurement of project-specific parts from supplier selection to delivery.
• Collaborate with engineering, project management and sales to contribute procurement expertise.
• Negotiate prices, contracts and terms with national and international suppliers.
• Coordinate supplier management, including handling complaints and escalations.
• Ensure cost-effective, quality-focused and timely procurement processes.
• Plan and track all procurement activities across the full project lifecycle.
• Identify and realize cost optimization and savings within projects.

Job description

• Development and implementation of project-specific procurement strategies as well as early involvement in the quotation and calculation phase
• Independently managing the procurement of project-specific special and drawing-based parts – from supplier selection and inquiries through to order placement and delivery monitoring
• Close cooperation with engineering, project management, and sales departments, actively contributing procurement expertise to interdisciplinary project teams
• Conducting price, contract, and terms & conditions negotiations with national and international suppliers
• Managing and continuously developing project-related supplier management, including the coordination of complaints and escalations
• Ensuring cost-effective, quality-oriented, and on-time procurement processes
• Planning, coordinating, and tracking all procurement-related activities throughout the entire project lifecycle
• Identifying and realizing cost optimization and savings potentials within projects

Requirements

• Completed technical or commercial degree, for example in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, business administration, or a comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in technical or project-based purchasing, ideally within mechanical or plant engineering
• Strong technical understanding and experience in procuring complex, customer-specific components
• Confident appearance, strong negotiation skills, and excellent communication abilities
• Very good written and spoken German and English skills
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented way of working with a high degree of initiative and sense of responsibility
• Ability to work in a team and enjoy collaborating in interdisciplinary and international project teams
