Overview

Storage Sales Specialist (f/m/d). This role is designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation to work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.

Job Description

In a typical day as a Sales Specialist Storage you:

  • Position the HPE Storage product and solution portfolio across selected local accounts in Southern Germany.
  • Expand existing and develop new long-term storage customer relationships and channel partner relationships.
  • Focus on business outcomes for customers, supported by GreenLake offerings and the Private Cloud and AI portfolio.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the end customer’s business drivers to implement customer requirements in a sustainable HPE business via a consulting approach at all levels of the customer organization.
  • Demonstrate the quality and performance of the portfolio as part of customers\' hybrid cloud and digitization strategy.
  • Build a long-term pipeline for new and existing storage opportunities to increase HPE Storage market share in Germany.
  • Lead projects across the lifecycle from initial contact, PoCs, tender preparation, negotiations to contract conclusion and lifecycle management.
  • Collaborate with Digital Sales, Sales Support, Presales, GreenLake, Zerto Sales, Hybrid Solutions Group, and Storage Category teams.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Academic degree in business administration or similar.
  • +5 years of sales experience with complex IT solutions, especially storage.
  • Good knowledge of the storage market.
  • Ability to take sales responsibility for storage opportunities (including Service and as-a-Service).
  • Reliability in building a sales pipeline, forecasting and customer management (sales excellence).
  • Desire to develop deep knowledge of storage products and solutions with differentiation from the competition.
  • Customer orientation and consulting skills with assertiveness and sales attitude.
  • Team and goal-oriented work; creativity, initiative and reliability.
  • Negotiation confidence; excellent communication, presentation and closing skills.
  • Business fluency in German and English.
