Jobbeschreibung

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is one of the largest healthcare systems in the United Kingdom, employing approximately 40,000 staff across a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million people, and to a wider population of 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.

The Role

You will be an experienced NMC-registered Nurse on Part 1 of the NMC Register, preferably with experience of immunising children, an interest in Public Health and a desire to work within a small skill-mix team. Patient-centred care is at the heart of our service delivery.

The post will involve mainly working within community-based clinics delivering pre-school immunisations to babies and children; however, occasional delivery to children up to the age of 18 may be required. Full training will be provided.

All roles will be assessed for sponsorship eligibility in line with current Home Office requirements. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) can only issue a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) where these are met.

Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:
  • This is a permanent post working full-time hours (36)
  • The post will be predominantly based within Glasgow City, working over 5 days, Monday to Friday.
  • All posts are employed Board-wide by NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, and cross-boundary working across the five teams will be required at times.
Key Responsibilities

You will work as part of a small skill-mix team delivering high-quality, patient-centred immunisation services within community-based clinics. The role will primarily involve delivering pre-school immunisations to babies and children, with occasional responsibility for providing immunisations to children up to the age of 18.

You will contribute to the delivery of a safe, effective and responsive Public Health service and work collaboratively across teams as required. Full training will be provided to support you in the role.

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:
  • NMC registration on Part 1 of the NMC Register.
  • Experience of immunising children is desirable.
  • An interest in Public Health.
  • Ability to work effectively within a small skill-mix team.

AI tools like ChatGPT or Copilot can be great for planning and preparing your application, but your answers must be your own.

  • Show us the real you: Your application should reflect your skills, experience, and motivations authentically.
