Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG in Dresden seeks an Engineer Component Verification to validate analog-mixed-signal microcontroller devices on manufactured hardware and to set up measurement equipment and test environments in a lab setting.

You will work with cross-functional teams to define reusable test concepts, leverage AI-assisted development tools, and contribute to improving coverage and robustness of characterization methods, while mentoring junior engineers and supervising students.

Qualifications

• University degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Several years of semiconductor test/validation experience.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++, Python, MATLAB.
• Hands-on lab measurement expertise.
• Experience with Git-based development and CI/CD workflows.
• Familiar with LLM tools (GPT/Copilot) and automation.
• Fluent English; German beneficial.

Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Validating analog-mixed-signal microcontroller devices on manufactured hardware through investigating their electrical characteristics
• Setup of measurement equipment (hardware) and test program environment (software) for mixed-signal verification of respective expected functionality in a lab environment
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define reusable test concepts and automation, drive alignment via technical reviews, and integrate feedback
• Leveraging AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GPT/Copilot) test development and documentation; (big plus) building agentic workflows for test generation, execution, triage, and reporting
• Review existing characterization methodologies and introduce new approaches to improve coverage, robustness and reuse
• Leading and mentoring junior engineers and supervising students

Your Profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

• A university degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Information and Communication Technology (or comparable)
• Several years of professional experience related to semiconductor test, characterization or product development/validation
• Strong programming skills (e.g., C/C++, Python, MATLAB or similar) with a focus on test/automation in lab environments
• Hands-on expertise in electrical measurements and lab test setup to ensure accurate, repeatable measurements
• Strong experience with Git-based development, PR-based collaboration and CI/CD
• Confident using LLM tools (GPT/Copilot) in day-to-day engineering; experience building agentic automation flows is a strong plus
• Nice to have: Exposure to automotive communication protocols and related transceivers; basic ability to support physical-layer and system debugging in the lab
• Fluent English skills required; German language skills are beneficial but not mandatory
