Job summary

Exyte is seeking a Specialist Purchasing (m/f/d) in Renningen, Germany to ensure a reliable supply chain for customer projects. You will proactively manage shortages, coordinate with suppliers, and mitigate supply risks while collaborating with procurement, logistics, and project teams.

You will monitor delivery schedules, follow up on commitments, escalate issues, and support procurement activities with strong ERP and Excel reporting capabilities.

Qualifications

• Completed commercial or technical vocational training or an equivalent qualification.
• Several years of experience in material planning, materials management, procurement, or supply chain in a manufacturing or project-driven environment.
• Strong expertise in material shortage management including demand planning and supplier escalation.
• Proficient in ERP systems (ideally proALPHA) and Excel for data reporting.
• Very good German and English skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage material shortages proactively to ensure uninterrupted support of ongoing customer projects.
• Identify critical material requirements and potential supply risks at an early stage.
• Monitor delivery schedules, order confirmations, and follow up on outstanding supplier commitments.
• Escalate delivery issues with suppliers and drive corrective actions to minimize delays.
• Coordinate material requirements with project management, production planning, manufacturing, and logistics.
• Support procurement activities including supplier quotations, order processing, and alternative sourcing.
• Maintain ERP data (proALPHA), prepare shortage and status reports, and implement measures to prevent delays.

Working closely with Procurement, Logistics, and Project Teams, you will play a vital role in maintaining project continuity and operational excellence.

• Prioritize and coordinate material requirements in close collaboration with project management, production planning, manufacturing, and logistics.
• Support procurement activities, including supplier quotations, order processing, and the identification of alternative sourcing options.
• Maintain accurate ERP data (proALPHA), prepare shortage and status reports, and proactively implement measures to prevent project delays.
