Job summary

The Sterile Processing Department Product Specialist at Moffitt Cancer Center maintains, coordinates and performs all aspects of the sterile processing inventory, data entry, and related clerical tasks to support the operating room and ancillary departments.

You will work with vendors and OR personnel to monitor and facilitate reordering, maintenance and refurbishment of instruments and trays, update tray counts, and use the instrument tracking system.

Summary

The Sterile Processing Department Product Specialist maintains, coordinates and performs all aspects of the Sterile Processing inventory control, data entry, clerical and manual tasks involved in the daily ordering, receipt, verification, storage of supplies/par levels/mobile equipment, surgical instruments in the sterile processing department, which supports the operating room (OR), as well as ancillary departments. Responsibilities include working closely with vendors and OR personnel to monitor, build and facilitate reordering, maintenance and refurbishment of instruments/trays in need of service and/or repair. Responsibilities include updating of tray count sheets, new instrument implementation and data entry, utilizing the designated instrument tracking system. Adheres to and verifies all manufacturing guidelines and recommendations prior to implementation of set instruments/trays/supplies.Must have a working knowledge of surgical supplies and instruments, understands sterile processing functions and responsibilities and experience in requisitioning, ordering, receiving and maintaining supplies.

Salary Range

$19.17 - $29.21

Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role. Actual compensation may vary based on location and a variety of job-related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity among Team Members in similar positions.
