Riedel Communications in Wuppertal is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Testing (SDET) to create automated tests for our innovative products. You will design and implement test infrastructure while working with a diverse team of engineers.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering and proficient programming skills, ideally in Java or Kotlin. We offer 30 vacation days, flexible working hours, and options for mobile working.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• You will be responsible for the creation of automated test for different RIEDEL Products.
• Your tasks will entail independent conceptual design, implementation and documentation of automated tests and necessary software components.
• You will be co-designing the frameworks software architecture, taking future-oriented technologies in account.
• You will be participating in concept definition and setup of new test infrastructure.
• You will be in touch with the other internal departments and independently execute testruns and report and analyze findings.

THAT'S YOU

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or relevant industry experience.
• Proficient programming skills and experience in software Development, ideally with Java or Kotlin and a basic understanding of clean code principles.
• Experienced with design patterns in software engineering and professional software versioning (Git, Bitbucket).
• Ideally experienced in working with frameworks and tools like TestNG, Kotest, Playwright.
• While our day-to-day communication within the team is in German, you will need solid English skills for documentation and collaboration with international colleagues.
