Job summary

Airbus Defence and Space GmbH is seeking a Software Architect (d/f/m) to join the Ground Systems & Human Space Flight team in Bremen. You will design and specify new ground software architectures and support verification activities.

The role requires strong experience in software and system architecture, requirements engineering and interface specification, plus fluency in German and English. Collaboration within cross-functional teams and delivering robust software is key.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS or Aerospace Engineering.
• Experience in software projects.
• Solid experience in software and system architecture, requirements engineering, and interface specification.
• Experience with functional verification and V&V processes.
• Proficiency in German and English (written and spoken).

Software Architect (d/f/m)

In order to support our Ground Systems & Human Space Flight team, Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Software Architect (d/f/m). We support ground systems for human spaceflight missions (ISS - Columbus, ESA ESM project) and design the ground infrastructure for future LEO space stations such as Starlab. Our responsibilities are: design and specification of new ground systems; System, data and change analyses; delivery of ground software; Support for functional verification and error investigation and tool support.

Desired Skills And Qualifications

• Completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering
• Experience in software projects.
• Solid experience in software architecture, system architecture, requirements engineering, and interface specification.
• Experience with functional verification and V&V processes.
• Proficiency in German and English (written and spoken).
• Ability to work in a team and strong communication skills.

Desired Knowledge

• Linux
• UML, MBSE (CAMEO)
• Communication protocols commonly used within Space Projects (CCSDS, 1553, Spacewire, FEECP, etc.)
• Experience with Ground System Software and/or related technologies (CCS, CGS, SCOS2000, etc.)
• Programming skills in C, Java, Python and Shell.
