Airbus Defence and Space GmbH in Germany is seeking a Senior Software Architect to design and implement a modular, distributed infrastructure framework that coordinates multiple IT systems from startup to shutdown. The role focuses on C++ and distributed real-time software within aerospace simulations.

You will work with cross-functional teams to drive architectural decisions, ensure testability, and develop tooling to improve development processes.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Computer Science or similar.
• 5 to 10 years of professional experience.
• Extensive experience in software architecture, design and development.
• Experience in designing & implementing distributed systems.
• Experience in IT infrastructure related projects (Terraform, Nomad, Kubernetes, etc).
• Excellent C++ skills; other languages: Qt/QML, Go, Ansible, Python.
• English negotiation level.

Senior Software Architect (d/f/m)

We develop top notch, high fidelity flight simulators for a variety of aircraft. We have the technical responsibility for all our simulators. We design, develop, integrate and deliver complex training & engineering simulations to our customers. At the core, our simulations are distributed real-time applications. Most of our software is written in C++. Our team is looking for an additional Software Architect to design and implement a modular, distributed infrastructure related framework which controls and integrates dozens of IT systems from startup, over deployment to shutdown.

This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.

• Experience in using / developing IT Infrastructure related projects (e.g. Terraform, Nomad, Kubernetes, etc)
• Excellent C++ skills, Other programming languages / Frameworks are welcome (Qt / QML, Go, Ansible, Python...)
• English negotiation level
