g2 Recruitment is seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee the construction and delivery of a 120MW / 240MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Frankfurt. You will work with the Project Director and EPC contractors to manage on-site activities, ensuring safety, schedule, and quality compliance.

Responsibilities include coordinating civil, electrical and mechanical contractors, leading meetings, and reporting progress to stakeholders while maintaining HSE standards

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years' experience in a Site Manager or Construction Manager role.
• Experience on BESS, solar, wind, substation or power generation projects.
• Fluent English required; German advantageous.

We are looking for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee the construction and delivery of a 120MW / 240MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Frankfurt. Working alongside the Project Director and EPC contractors, you will be responsible for managing all on-site activities, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day site construction activities from mobilization through commissioning.
• Coordinate civil, electrical and mechanical contractors on site.
• Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and site safety standards.
• Monitor progress against project milestones and resolve site issues.
• Lead subcontractor meetings and provide regular progress reports.
• Oversee quality inspections, testing and commissioning activities.
• Liaise with local authorities, suppliers and client representatives.

Requirements:

• 5+ years' experience in a Site Manager or Construction Manager role.
• Previous experience on BESS, solar, wind, substation or power generation projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical infrastructure and construction practices.
• Experience managing multiple contractors and supervising large site teams.
• Fluent English required; German advantageous.
