TWG Consulting Services in Düsseldorf is seeking a Site Engineer to join a major data centre project on a permanent basis. You will support the site delivery team, coordinating with Project Managers, Construction Managers and subcontractors to ensure safe, accurate and on‑programme construction.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree or equivalent and prior experience as a Site or Project Engineer with a main contractor or specialist subcontractor.

• Strong setting-out and surveying capability.

TWG Consulting is recruiting for a Site Engineer to join a major contractor delivering a significant data centre project in Düsseldorf, Germany.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer looking to build their career within one of Europe's fastest-growing construction sectors, working on a technically complex mission-critical project alongside an experienced international project team.

The position offers a salary of €70,000 per annum plus an additional benefits package, together with excellent opportunities for progression as the contractor continues to expand its European data centre portfolio.

The Role

Working as part of the site delivery team, you will be responsible for supporting the safe, accurate and efficient delivery of construction works across the project.

You'll work closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers, subcontractors and the wider engineering team, providing technical support and ensuring works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications, programme and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the day-to-day engineering and construction activities on site.
• Setting out and surveying works accurately in accordance with project drawings and specifications.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical information prior to construction.
• Working closely with subcontractors to ensure works are delivered correctly and to programme.
• Carrying out quality inspections and maintaining appropriate site records.
• Identifying technical issues and coordinating RFIs with the relevant design and project teams.
• Monitoring subcontractor progress and reporting against short-term programmes and project milestones.
• Supporting the implementation of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
• Ensuring works comply with project quality, health & safety and environmental requirements.
• Coordinating with CSA, MEP and other project disciplines to identify and resolve potential interface issues.
• Assisting with as-built information, handover documentation and project close-out.
• Attending site coordination and progress meetings.
• Supporting senior members of the project team with technical and engineering requirements.

About You

We're looking for a motivated Site Engineer with experience working within construction, civil engineering or major building projects.

Ideally, you will have:

• A Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or a related discipline.
• Previous experience working as a Site Engineer or Project Engineer.
• Experience working for a main contractor or specialist subcontractor.
• Strong setting-out and surveying capability.
• Good understanding of construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors on live construction projects.
• Strong quality and documentation awareness.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, international project environment.

Previous experience within data centres, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, industrial or other mission-critical projects would be advantageous but isn't essential.
