Qualifikationen

• Abgeschlossenes Studium in Softwaretechnik oder einem verwandten Fach.
• Mind. 10 Jahre Berufserfahrung im Engineering.
• Mehr als 5 Jahre als Software-Architekt.
• Nachweisbare Hands-on-Erfahrung in Simulation und Software-Architektur.
• Erfahrung in IV&V.
• Projektmanagement-Kenntnisse von Vorteil.
• Erfahrung in Luftfahrt, Simulation oder Verteidigung von Vorteil.
• Gutes Englisch (Verhandlungssprache); Deutsch von Vorteil.

Aufgaben

• Entwerfen und Implementieren komplexer Architekturen für Engineering-Simulationen zur Unterstützung von Flugzeugprogrammen.
• Übersetzen von hohen System- und System-of-Systems-Anforderungen in konkrete Architekturen.
• Architekturen in Arbeitspakete zerlegen.
• Schnittstellen mit Programmen festlegen und abstimmen.
• Unterstützung von Chief Engineers bei Arbeitsaufteilungen.
• Leitung des Bid-Prozesses für Simulations-Arbeitspakete.
• Arbeits-Pakete für externe Lieferanten erstellen.
• Unterstützung von Systems Engineers bei der Umsetzung von Architekturen in Anforderungen.

Simulation Software Architect (d/f/m)

to reinforce our simulation team in Manching. You will be responsible for defining and implementing complex simulation architectures for our next-generation aircraft programs. You will work in an international environment and require close coordination with internal colleagues, stakeholders, and external partner companies.

This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Designing and implementing complex architectures for Engineering Simulations to support aircraft programs
• Translating high-level system and system-of-system requirements into tangible architectures
• Breaking down architectures into work packages
• Designing and agreeing upon interfaces with the programs
• Supporting Chief Engineers in work-share negotiations
• Leading the bid process for simulation work packages
• Creating work packages for external suppliers
• Supporting Systems Engineers in translating architectures into requirements

Desired skills and qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Software Engineering or a related discipline
• Over 10 years of experience within Engineering
• More than 5 years of experience as a Software Architect
• A proven, hands-on track record in Simulation and Software architecture
• Experience in Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V)
• Project Management skills are a plus
• Experience in the aviation, simulation, or defense industry is a plus
• Excellent English (negotiation level). German is a plus
