Job summary

CATL in Magdeburg is seeking a Shiftleader operative Logistics to lead our warehouse logistics team and ensure smooth material flow across goods receipt, storage, production and shipping. You will coordinate processes, manage workforce planning, and safeguard inventory accuracy in SAP while upholding safety and quality standards.

• Successful vocational training; logistics background is an advantage.
• Minimum 3 years in warehouse logistics, incl. 2 years in leadership.
• Willingness to work in a three-shift system.
• Good IT and system skills: SAP and MS Office.
• German language skills at least B2 level.
• Structured and independent working style.
• High commitment, flexibility, assertiveness, and conflict resolution.

Your Responsibilities:

• Ensure a smooth material flow between goods receipt, warehouse, production, and shipping
• Lead, motivate, and develop employees within the warehouse logistics team
• Coordinate and manage warehouse and logistics processes, including workforce planning

• Analyze operational disruptions and implement corrective actions promptly
• Communicate and coordinate with adjacent departments (e.g. Planning, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, etc.)
• Ensure accurate material postings and inventory accuracy within the SAP system
• Monitor compliance with occupational safety, environmental, quality, customs, ADR regulations, and 5S standards
• Conduct shopfloor management activities, shift handovers, and ensure effective information flow
• Analyze and continuously optimize logistics processes (Continuous Improvement Process / CIP)
• Take responsibility for the safe operation of industrial trucks, including coordination of maintenance activities
• Support inventory counts and monitor relevant logistics key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Handle special situations and emergencies within production and logistics operations

Your Profile:

• Successfully completed vocational training; a background in logistics is an advantage
• At least three years of professional experience in warehouse logistics, including a minimum of two years in a leadership role
• Willingness to work in a three-shift system
• Good IT and system skills (Microsoft Office, SAP)
• Good German language skills (minimum B2 level), both written and spoken
• Enjoy working in a structured and independent manner
• High level of commitment, flexibility, assertiveness, and conflict resolution skills
