CATL's Erfurt site seeks a seasoned production leader to drive efficient workflows and oversee the repacking department within a global battery technology group. You will lead shopfloor activities, ensure safety and quality, and guide continuous improvement initiatives in a long-term, international environment.

Aufgaben

• Coordinate and organize workflows in production area with supervisors, leading shopfloor management.
• Oversee repacking department (manual & automated), ensure quality and plan production daily.
• Provide functional and disciplinary leadership to shift supervisors and staff.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and process standards.
• Contribute to structured problem-solving and continuous process improvement.
• Create, maintain and improve SOPs.
• Plan and document employee training.
• Collaborate with internal departments for smooth operations.
• Serve as first contact for customer complaints and participate in 8D teams.
• Monitor tools, equipment and materials; coordinate preventive maintenance (TPM).
• Implement SQCDP framework in area; manage production-related projects.

Your Responsibilities:

• Take responsibility for coordinating and organizing workflows within the production area in collaboration with other supervisors, including leading shopfloor management activities.
• Manage and oversee the repacking department (manual and automated), including:
  • Controlling production processes and ensuring quality standards.
  • Preparing daily production plans based on shipping requirements.
  • Monitoring target achievement and implementing corrective actions when deviations occur.
  • Identifying and eliminating bottlenecks to ensure production targets are met.
• Provide functional and disciplinary leadership to shift supervisors and administrative production staff in accordance with personnel assignments.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health & safety, quality, and process standards.
• Actively contribute to structured problem-solving and continuous process improvement initiatives.
• Create, maintain, and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Plan, conduct, and document employee training and instruction sessions.
• Collaborate closely with internal departments to ensure smooth operational processes.
• Serve as the first point of contact for customer complaints and participate in the 8D problem‑solving team.
• Monitor and ensure the availability of tools, production equipment, and consumable materials.
• Organize and coordinate preventive maintenance of production equipment as part of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
• Implement and further develop the SQCDP framework (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, People) within the assigned area of responsibility.
• Manage and support production‑related projects.

Your Profile:

• Completed university degree and at least 5 years of leadership experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
• Reliable, conscientious, and resilient.

• Excellent leadership and people management skills.
• Good command of English.
• Strong analytical skills with an affinity for numbers, data, and facts.
