  • Ensure compliance with EU, UK, Swiss, German, and applicable international trade regulations.
  • Provide trade compliance guidance to internal stakeholders and support operational teams in resolving customs, import/export, and regulatory issues while minimizing business disruption.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customs brokers, freight forwarders, government authorities, and internal and external partners.
  • Support customs audits, inquiries, and regulatory reviews conducted by customs authorities.
  • Monitor and interpret regulatory changes impacting EU, UK, and Switzerland trade operations and implement necessary compliance controls.

  • Manage and maintain all EU, UK, German, and Swiss export licenses and authorizations, including license applications, renewals, reporting obligations, utilization monitoring, and recordkeeping to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for BAFA export control requirements and systems, administering BAFA portal activities and supporting licensing determinations.
  • Document compliance determinations and maintain auditable records.
  • Own and support Intrastat reporting activities by validating customs and trade data, coordinating with Finance, Logistics, and customs brokers to ensure accurate and timely submissions, and supporting audits and other regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Monitor and implement EU, UK, and Swiss sanctions and trade restriction requirements, including Russian and Belarusian sanctions programs; conduct sanctions reviews, support restricted party screening activities, evaluate transaction compliance risks, and maintain documentation supporting compliance determinations.
  • Serve as a trade compliance advisor to business stakeholders on sourcing decisions, supply chain changes, STE/TAG assessments, product classification, and export control requirements.
  • Conduct trade compliance risk assessments, identify compliance gaps and potential regulatory exposures, and implement corrective actions and process improvements.
What You Will Bring.
  • Bachelor’s degree in international business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Customs, Trade Compliance, Legal Studies, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 2+ years of experience in a multinational Trade Compliance environment, customs compliance function, consulting practice, or law firm with a focus on import/export compliance, customs classification, export controls, and sanctions.
