Job summary

BIMM University is seeking a Senior Technology Systems & Support Engineer for a 6 month fixed-term contract. You will deliver advanced technology support across campuses, ensuring reliable hardware, software and collaboration tools for students and staff.

The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, leadership and cross-team collaboration, with a focus on Microsoft 365, Intune and Entra ID. You’ll work across multiple locations in Germany and contribute to IT projects and service improvements.

About the role

As a Senior Technology Systems & Support Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality technology support across BIMM University, helping ensure colleagues and students can make effective use of technology to support learning, teaching and day-to-day operations.

Working within Technology Services & Support, you'll provide advanced technical support across a range of endpoint, workplace, classroom and collaboration technologies, acting as an escalation point for more complex issues while helping to maintain reliable, user-focused services.

What You'll Do:

• Deliver onsite and remote technology support across a range of hardware, software and collaboration platforms.
• Act as an escalation point for complex technical incidents and service requests, helping to identify and implement effective solutions.
• Coordinate onsite technology support activities across assigned campuses, balancing planned work with operational priorities.
• Support and develop a Technology Systems & Support Engineer, providing day-to-day guidance and technical leadership.
• Support the deployment, configuration and ongoing management of devices and workplace technologies.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across Technology to diagnose and resolve infrastructure, network, application and security-related issues.
• Help maintain the operational readiness of classroom, teaching, meeting room and collaboration technologies.
• Contribute to technology projects, campus developments and the introduction of new technologies and services.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow established service, security and support processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve services, streamline support processes and enhance the user experience.

What You'll Bring:

• Experience working in technology support, systems engineering or a similar technical environment.
• Strong technical knowledge across endpoint devices, operating systems, hardware and workplace technologies.
• The ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, identifying practical and effective solutions.
• Experience supporting colleagues and acting as a source of technical guidance.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 and modern endpoint management technologies, including Microsoft Intune and Entra ID.
• An understanding of IT service management principles and incident resolution processes.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.
• The ability to prioritise workloads and collaborate effectively across multiple teams and locations.
