Zusammenfassung

Motorsport Network, LLC is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong Motorsport background to lead the design of suspension, steering, brakes, and subframes.

You will develop 3D CAD models in CATIA V5, produce detailed 2D drawings, and own the mechanical design lifecycle from concept through testing. Fluent English and Windchill knowledge are required.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, automotive or aeronautical engineering.
• 7+ years of motorsport experience, rally/track disciplines.
• Strong mechanical design fundamentals and materials knowledge.
• Proficient in CATIA V5; GD&T experience.
• Fluent English required; Windchill PLM knowledge is preferred.

• Design mechanical components such as suspension, steering, brakes, and subframes.
• Create 3D CAD models and detailed 2D drawings in CATIA V5.
• Own mechanical design lifecycle from concept to testing and reliability.
• Support validation testing and test jig/rig design.
• Assist vehicle/test car builds and troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with suppliers for manufacturing and optimization.

Main tasks

• Design of mechanical components including and not limited to suspension, steering, brakes and subframes
• 3D detailed design CAD models and assembly installations plus related 2D technical manufacturing and assembly drawings using Catia V5
• Full lifecycle ownership of mechanical design components and from concept through testing and validation to reliability, problem solving and performance development
• Support validation testing plus support design of any required test jigs and or rigs
• Support vehicle and test car builds and problem solve technical related issues
• Work with suppliers to support manufacture and optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Automotive or Aeronautical engineering or similar background
• Proven professional experience in motorsport with 7+ years experience. Rally and Track racing disciplines
• Strong mechanical design background with a solid understanding of materials science and mechanical engineering fundamentals
• Good knowledge of CAD (CATIA V5 preferable) and 2D or 3D GD&T technical drawing experience
• Experience and knowledge of surface design is a plus
• Knowledge of PLM System (Windchill preferable)
• Fluent English is compulsory
