Softgarden in Frankfurt is seeking an experienced Mechanical/Automotive Engineer to lead design and development of vehicle systems, including cooling, steering and fuel systems. You will produce detailed CATIA V5 models and drawings, and validate designs with test rigs and documentation.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/automotive/aeronautical engineering with at least 6 years in high-performance parts, a strong systems background, and fluent English.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Automotive/Aeronautical engineering or similar
• At least 6 years of experience in a comparable environment with high performance parts
• Strong background in systems and mechanical engineering fundamentals
• Ability to work with CATIA V5 for detailed design and documentation
• Knowledge of Windchill PLM is a plus
• Fluent English is compulsory

Main tasks

• Design, specification and development of vehicle systems (including for example and not limited to, cooling, steering and fuel systems)
• 3D detailed design CAD models and assembly drawings using Catia V5
• Support text and validation of systems plus support design of any required test jigs and or rigs
• Work cross functionally with multiple departments to provide solutions on new designs as well as problem solve and find solutions to issues
• Support vehicle and test car builds and problem solve technical related issues
• Create and maintain systems technical library documentation
• Work with suppliers to define and deliver engineering systems plus problem solve manufacturing issues

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Automotive or Aeronautical engineering or similar background
• At least 6 years of experience in a comparable environment working with high performance parts
• Have a strong background with a solid understanding of systems and mechanical engineering fundamentals
• Good knowledge of CAD (CATIA V5 preferable)
• Knowledge of PLM System (Windchill preferable)
• Ability to complete tasks with minimal guidance and to work under pressure to meet deadlines
• Fluent English is compulsory
