Zusammenfassung

HR New Media GmbH in Germany seeks an experienced Mechanical/Automotive engineer to design and develop vehicle systems, including cooling, steering and fuel systems. You will create 3D CATIA V5 CAD models and assembly drawings, and support validation, test jigs, and cross-functional problem solving.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Mechanical, Automotive or Aeronautical engineering, at least 6 years in high-performance parts, solid fundamentals, CATIA V5, Windchill, and fluent English.

Qualifikationen

• Fluent English is compulsory.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Automotive or Aeronautical engineering or similar background.
• At least 6 years of experience in a comparable environment with high performance parts.

Aufgaben

• Design, specification and development of vehicle systems (cooling, steering, fuel).
• Create 3D CAD models and assembly drawings using CATIA V5.
• Support validation and test jigs, and cross-functional problem solving.
• Collaborate with multiple departments to deliver new designs and resolve issues.
• Assist vehicle builds and address technical issues; maintain documentation.

Main tasks

• Design, specification and development of vehicle systems (including for example and not limited to, cooling, steering and fuel systems)
• 3D detailed design CAD models and assembly drawings using Catia V5
• Support text and validation of systems plus support design of any required test jigs and or rigs
• Work cross functionally with multiple departments to provide solutions on new designs as well as problem solve and find solutions to issues
• Support vehicle and test car builds and problem solve technical related issues
• Create and maintain systems technical library documentation
• Work with suppliers to define and deliver engineering systems plus problem solve manufacturing issues

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Automotive or Aeronautical engineering or similar background
• At least 6 years of experience in a comparable environment working with high performance parts
• Have a strong background with a solid understanding of systems and mechanical engineering fundamentals
• Good knowledge of CAD (CATIA V5 preferable)
• Knowledge of PLM System (Windchill preferable)
• Ability to complete tasks with minimal guidance and to work under pressure to meet deadlines
• Fluent English is compulsory
