Problems Solved

People are more than their resumes, titles and company logos.

Yet, people, companies and job roles can be complex and challenging to understand. Many companies struggle to understand how to identify and attract the right talent. This often leads to hiring decisions based on personal biases and stereotypes.

ama helps companies to understand whom they actually need, find people that fit based on their skills and values and navigate them through the complexity of the talent market.

Rough Product Overview

We collect large amounts of unstructured data on talent, companies and various jobs using different sources such as CVs, LinkedIn & GitHub profiles, recruiting interviews, company websites, news, and financial data.

We deploy AI Agents (using Large Language Models) that use the collected data for complex and nuanced reasoning processes to make precise talent‑company matches.

Initial product: Assessment and Matching. We profile a role/company to understand which skills are required to excel in the particular job as well as where individuals can acquire such skills. Then we apply it to assess among thousands of talents (enriched with additional data) which profiles are most fitting the job (possess the skills, understand the culture and are motivated to change jobs).

Your Responsibilities

Own the backend vision. You’ll set the technical direction for our core services, data pipelines, and APIs, steering architecture decisions and driving roadmap execution.

Multiply the team’s impact. From thoughtful code reviews to hands‑on mentoring, you’ll raise the engineering bar and help colleagues grow.

System Performance: Optimize and scale our systems to handle increasing loads and deliver seamless user experiences.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with product, design, back‑end and front‑end teams to bring new features to live.

Backend Engineering at the highest level. Architect, implement, and iterate on our core services, APIs, and data pipelines that power our first‑of‑its‑kind recruiting AI agents.

Innovation: Continuously explore and implement new backend technologies to keep us at the forefront of the industry.

Requirements

Strong English skills both verbal and written.

At least 5 years but ideally more than 10 years of professional experience in backend development - preferably in a fast‑paced environment.

Experience with scalable Database Systems, especially for larger amounts of data.

Proficient in Python and SQL.

Ability to work independently and to collaborate with the product and engineering team.

Experience with AI tools, LLMs, prompting, etc. is preferred.

Full‑stack experience (with TypeScript + ReactJS) is a plus.
