Job summary

CYBEX in Bayreuth seeks an experienced procurement professional to lead global indirect sourcing, focusing on SaaS, cloud services, IT hardware, telecommunications, and professional services. You will drive category strategies, run RFIs, RFQs, and RFPS, and negotiate favorable terms to deliver measurable savings.

Qualifications

• Experience in indirect procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management.
• Proven track record in managing complex sourcing projects and negotiations.
• Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills with stakeholder influence.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement across global indirect categories (SaaS, cloud services, IT hardware, telecommunications, professional services).
• Develop and implement global sourcing and category strategies balancing cost, quality, and supplier performance.
• Lead RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs from requirements to vendor selection and negotiations.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing models, SLAs, and terms to secure value.
• Manage supplier relationships through lifecycle: renewals, performance reviews, issue resolution.
• Advise IT and eCommerce stakeholders on requirements and sourcing options; collaborate with Finance, Legal, Information Security.
• Translate business needs into effective sourcing strategies and drive continuous process improvements.
• Mentor and coach junior procurement colleagues.

Your seat to fill:

• Manage end-to-end procurement activities across global indirect categories, with a primary focus on SaaS, cloud services, IT hardware, telecommunications, and professional services
• Develop and implement global sourcing and category strategies that balance cost, quality, innovation, supplier performance, and business requirements
• Lead RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs from requirements gathering and market analysis through supplier evaluation, commercial negotiations, and final vendor selection
• Negotiate contracts, pricing models, service levels, and commercial terms to secure favorable agreements and sustainable value for the company
• Manage supplier relationships throughout the procurement lifecycle, including contract renewals, performance reviews, and the resolution of commercial or operational issues.
• Act as a trusted procurement advisor to IT and eCommerce, supporting stakeholders in defining requirements, evaluating sourcing options, and making sound commercial decisions
• Build strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders, including Finance, Legal, Information Security, and other relevant business functions
• Translate business needs into effective sourcing strategies and practical solutions that deliver measurable results, and drive continuous improvement across procurement processes
• Share expertise and support the development of junior procurement colleagues through coaching, mentoring, and knowledge sharing

Your stroll to CYBEX:

• A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Information Technology, or a related field
• Relevant experience in indirect procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management, ideally with substantial exposure to global IT procurement
• Experience in one or more of the following categories: SaaS, cloud services, IT hardware, telecommunications, and professional services
• Proven track record of managing complex sourcing projects, leading RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs, negotiating supplier agreements, and delivering measurable cost savings
• Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills, combined with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders at different organizational levels
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, complemented by a proactive, hands‑on mentality and a focus on delivering practical results
• The ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced, international environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and cultures
• Proficiency in procurement systems and tools, ideally SAP, as well as Microsoft Office.
• Fluent English skills and a good command of German at a minimum B2 level
