Job summary
Siemens IT/OT Security Platforms team seeks a Solution Architect to define technical vision and architecture for strategic service offerings, enabling secure, scalable IT/OT solutions in line with Siemens Zero Trust and digitalization goals.
You will work with factories, cybersecurity experts, service managers, product teams, and partners to design architectures that support secure data flows, automation, analytics and AI-ready platform design across enterprise systems.
Qualifications
- Zero Trust and OT Security Architecture expertise required.
- 3+ years OT Infrastructure and Brownfield Integration experience including legacy systems and industrial protocols.
- 3+ years Platform and Enterprise Architecture; translate business/security requirements into scalable tech solutions and roadmaps.
- Strong capabilities in Platform Integration, Automation, AI and Analytics, including API-based integration and data flows.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders and align diverse groups.
Responsibilities
- Design and evolve target architecture for IT/OT Security Platforms (SINEC Secure Connect).
- Define secure IT/OT communication concepts based on Zero Trust principles.
- Support factories in integrating modern security solutions into brownfield environments.
- Translate requirements into scalable platform architectures and implementation roadmaps.
- Collaborate with factories, cybersecurity teams, and vendors to establish architecture standards and drive adoption.

- Evaluate new technologies and contribute to evolving Siemens IT/OT security platform landscape.
- Enable data-driven and AI-supported operational use cases.

- You design and evolve the target architecture for our IT/OT Security Platforms (SINEC Secure Connect), ensuring alignment with Siemens cybersecurity, operational, and business requirements.
- You define secure IT/OT communication concepts based on Zero Trust principles and develop architectures for remote access, machine connectivity, application communication, and future AI-driven use cases.
- You support Siemens factories in integrating modern security and management solutions into existing brownfield environments, considering legacy systems, industrial protocols, and operational constraints.
- You translate business, security, and operational requirements into scalable platform architectures, governance models, technical standards, and implementation roadmaps.
- You collaborate with factories, cybersecurity teams, service owners, vendors, and technology partners to establish architecture standards and drive service adoption across Siemens.
- You define integration concepts between connectivity services, monitoring solutions, automation frameworks, and enterprise systems.
- You evaluate new technologies and architecture patterns and contribute to the continuous evolution of Siemens IT/OT security and platform landscape.
- You enable data-driven and AI-supported operational use cases by designing architectures that support secure data flows, automation, analytics, and platform interoperability.
- You actively shape the journey to AI-native OT security services.
- Education: You have a university degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a comparable qualification.
- Experience & Skills:
- You possess strong expertise in Zero Trust and OT Security Architecture, including concepts such as identity-centric networking, PKI, certificate lifecycle management, and industry frameworks such as NIST SP 800-207 and IEC 62443.
- You have proven experience with OT Infrastructure and Brownfield Integration (of at least 3+ years), including industrial environments, legacy systems, machine-to-machine communication, industrial protocols, network segmentation, and hybrid IT/OT architectures.
- You are experienced in Platform and Enterprise Architecture (of at least 3+ years) and can translate business and security requirements into scalable technical solutions, governance models, operating concepts, and technology roadmaps.
- You possess strong capabilities in Platform Integration, Automation, AI and Analytics, including API-based integration, monitoring, automation, operational data flows, and AI-ready platform design.
- You are able to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and successfully align diverse stakeholder groups.

- You work in a structured and strategic manner and are comfortable operating in international and cross-functional environments.
- You provide your support during Central European Time Zone (CET).
- Languages: Fluent English skills complete your profile. German language skills are beneficial.
