Job summary

Optimus Search Limited is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Computer Vision) for the Munich area. The role focuses on real-time computer vision delivered to aerospace-scale, resource-constrained devices used in airborne and space environments.

You will adapt and optimize vision pipelines for on-device inference, and advance real-time perception for autonomous systems without cloud processing. Candidates should have 5+ years in CV and hands-on C++, Rust, and Python experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or similar.
• 5+ years in Computer Vision, especially real-time visual perception.
• Proficient in C++, Rust, and Python programming.
• Proven track record deploying CV solutions on embedded or resource-constrained platforms.
• Ideally experience in a highly-regulated product domain.
• Candidates must be clear of government, defense, or security restrictions.

• Adapt, optimize, and integrate existing vision pipelines for reliable on-device inference under strict compute and resource limitations
• Work on real-time perception capabilities for autonomous systems without relying on cloud-based processing

Desired Skills and Experience

• Completed a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or similar
• 5+ years in Computer Vision, especially real-time visual perception
• C++, Rust, and Python programming
• Proven track record deploying and adapting computer vision solutions on embedded or resource-constrained platforms across different customer environments
