PPRO is hiring a Senior Software Engineer (m/w/x) in Berlin. You will design, build, and own scalable payments-related products in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You’ll work with Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot, React, and cloud-native tech on AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker.

You’ll join autonomous teams delivering end-to-end features with a strong emphasis on quality, scale, and customer impact, while growing through learning opportunities and mentorship.

The Purpose:

At PPRO, Senior Software Engineers (m/w/x) make some of the most significant decisions for the company. Think of yourself as an important contributor to the success of your team, with a significant impact on the team’s product, but also on its culture and spirit. You will solve complex technical problems, participate in decisions on architecture and technical direction, support and mentor other engineers and work alongside them in the code.

• Own products and services end-to-end, from requirements till deployment in our production systems
• Collaborate and grow in a dynamic and autonomous environment while working in small, agile teams

What would make you a great fit:

• Multiple experiences working with one or more general-purpose programming languages including Java
• Experience designing and building scalable products and services
• Experience with the cloud (preferably AWS)

• Accounting/Fintech Domain: Experience with - or a strong interest in—the complexities of accounting systems or ledgers is a distinct advantage
