Job summary

MILES in Berlin is seeking a QA automation engineer to design and own end-to-end automation for mobile and web platforms. You will validate APIs, run performance and security tests, and ensure release readiness with clear criteria.

The role leverages AI-assisted tooling and a fast, open team environment. Requirements include 5+ years in QA automation or reliability, expertise in TypeScript/JavaScript and Python, and experience with Playwright, Appium, CI/CD, and data validation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in QA automation, site reliability or related engineering.
• Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and Python; backend/frontend/database concepts.
• API, performance and security testing including OWASP basics with Postman and k6.
• CI/CD pipeline authoring with GitLab CI or GitHub Actions.
• SQL for data validation; GDPR-aware test data handling.
• Mobile end-to-end automation with Appium/Detox/Maestro on iOS and Android.
• Web automation with Playwright; Selenium or Cypress also welcome.
• Experience in mobility or logistics products and testing payments.
• Accessibility and usability testing; clear bug reports and acceptance criteria.
• A valid EU driving license; trips on the road may be required.
