NAXCON GmbH in Germany seeks a Senior Project Manager for Cloud & IT Service Management to lead sub-projects through development to deployment. You will coordinate internal teams, external providers and stakeholders in a hybrid delivery model combining classical, agile, and ITSM workstreams.

The role requires a Bachelor''s degree, 5+ years of PM experience, IPMA Level D+ and ITIL, with German C1 and English B1+ proficiency. Travel and cross-site collaboration are expected.

Position: Senior Project Manager – Cloud & IT Service Management

The role supports a medium-sized but highly complex IT project within a cloud environment. The Senior Project Manager will take responsibility for a major sub-project and support the implementation of cloud-based platforms and IT services from solution development through to operational deployment.

The position requires close coordination with internal project teams, external service providers, technical stakeholders, customers and programme management. The project environment combines classical, agile and hybrid delivery models and includes IT service management, platform implementation or migration, and preferable private-cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage sub-projects from solution development through implementation and operational handover.
• Support the organisation and setup of project teams using agile and/or hybrid project management approaches.
• Support Product Owner-related activities and ensure effective coordination between business and technical stakeholders.
• Ensure that project milestones, schedules, budgets, quality targets and agreed deliverables are achieved.
• Manage project stakeholders and maintain effective communication across project and programme structures.
• Perform project cost controlling and support financial transparency.
• Prepare regular project reports, status updates, management presentations and decision-making documents.
• Create and maintain project plans, schedules and work packages.
• Identify, document and coordinate project dependencies, changes, risks and issues.
• Define and track appropriate mitigation and corrective actions.
• Coordinate and manage external service providers and implementation partners.
• Support project administration and project governance activities.
• Prepare, facilitate and document workshops and project meetings.
• Support the development, migration and implementation of IT service management platforms and cloud-based services.
• Ensure structured documentation and traceability of project decisions, requirements and activities.

Required Qualifications

• Completed Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Informatics, Computer Science, Information Technology or a comparable field.

Alternatively:

• Completed recognised commercial or IT vocational qualification combined with at least five years of relevant professional experience.

Additional requirements:

• Valid project management certification equivalent to IPMA Level D or higher.
• ITIL Foundation certification, version 3 or 4, or demonstrable equivalent practical IT service management experience.
• Strong knowledge of established project management methodologies.
• Practical experience with classical, agile and hybrid project delivery approaches.
• German language skills at CEFR C1 level.
• English language skills at CEFR B1 level or higher.

Native speakers do not need to provide separate language certification.

Required Professional Experience

• At least five years of continuous and substantive experience in project or sub-project management.
• At least two years of professional experience in IT Service Management projects, particularly involving platform implementation, platform setup or migration.
• At least four years of professional experience in cloud projects, preferably within private-cloud environments.
• Experience managing complex IT project structures involving multiple stakeholders, suppliers and technical teams.
• Experience in project planning, schedule management, cost controlling, risk management, change management and project reporting.
• Experience coordinating external service providers.
• Experience working within structured governance and reporting environments.
• Previous experience in public-sector or similarly regulated environments is advantageous.

The required periods of experience should represent continuous and substantive involvement in the respective subject area rather than occasional or isolated participation.
