Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Managerto lead a major subproject within a large-scale data center development program. The role combines the management of two teams responsible for system concepts and designs with the coordination of processes required for IT service development.

The successful candidate will take overall responsibility for planning, managing, and delivering the subproject, ensuring the timely implementation of requirements and close coordination with other subprojects, project leadership, and the customer.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Delivery

• Lead medium-sized and complex projects through comprehensive planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure.
• Organize and manage all assigned project team members using classical and agile project management methodologies.
• Coordinate two teams responsible for the development of system concepts and designs.
• Ensure the timely implementation of requirements in close alignment with other subprojects, project leadership, and the customer.
• Create and maintain project plans, schedules, and relevant project documentation.
• Ensure compliance with project-specific requirements and governance processes.
• Take responsibility for the successful delivery and completion of the assigned subproject.

IT Service Development

• Ensure adherence to the defined IT service development process.
• Actively drive and support the development of IT services within the project environment.
• Coordinate the relevant teams and stakeholders involved in IT service development.Ensure that service development activities are aligned
• with project requirements and delivery objectives.

Stakeholder & Communication Management

• Maintain close coordination with other subprojects, project leadership, and the customer.
• Provide regular reporting within the project and program organization, including at top-management level.
• Prepare and communicate structured project status information and management updates.
• Ensure effective communication and collaboration across all assigned project teams.

Risk, Quality & Continuous Improvement

• Perform comprehensive risk and quality management.
• Identify project risks, issues, and dependencies and coordinate appropriate corrective measures.
• Conduct and document lessons-learned workshops.
• Implement lessons learned and translate findings into practical improvements for current and future projects.
• Continuously improve project processes and working methods.

Qualifications

• Recognized project management certification equivalent to IPMA Level D or a comparable qualification.
• Scrum Master I and II certifications.
• ITIL Foundation certification, version 3 or higher .
• Strong knowledge of common project management methodologies.
• Good knowledge of IT Service Management and IT service development processes.
• Experience with Jira or comparable project management tools, Microsoft Office, and MS Project.

Required Professional Experience

• At least 5 years of experience leading complex projects with a duration of more than one year and at least 20 project team members .
• At least 2 years of experience as a project team member or consultant in digitalization projects related to defence or comparable public administration.
• At least 5 years of practical experience as an IT Project Manager using classical and hybrid or agile project management methodologies.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in the Scrum Master role within agile or hybrid projects.
• At least 2 years of experience as a project team member in IT projects focused on data centers or data center infrastructure .
• At least 2 years of proven experience in a responsible project role in the development of IT services .
• Proven experience with Jira or comparable project management tools, Microsoft Office, and MS Project.
