THRYVE in Berlin seeks a (Senior) Project Engineer to drive hardware concepts for battery storage systems. You will design grid connection and measurement solutions, shape project architecture, and lead technical evaluations with a strong MV focus.

Reading and producing site plans and SLDs, coordinating with operators and partners, and supporting certification processes are key parts of the role. German fluency and an ownership mindset are essential.

Qualifikationen

We're recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing, entrepreneurial company in the battery storage / renewable energy space for a (Senior) Project Engineer to join their electrical engineering team in Berlin.

Your mission:

• Develop new hardware concepts for battery storage products — from idea to implementation —
• where none exist today
• Design connection and measurement concepts for battery storage systems in industrial environments (including combination with PV), deriving the necessary hardware for grid connection and data recording
• Shape system architecture for storage projects: define connection, measurement, and protection concepts, including operating strategy and integration with existing infrastructure
• Analyse electrotechnical documents (site plans, network connection diagrams, SLDs) and evaluate feasibility, connectivity and expansion potential
• Provide hands-on technical evaluation and support through project implementation, with a clear focus on medium voltage
• Coordinate technically with network operators and partners, and represent the company's position confidently
• Support certification processes as a responsible electrical specialist once systems are operational
• Actively identify, build and develop partner relationships — an existing network is a plus
• Bring structure to complex projects through strong communication and project management

Your profile:

• Master electrician, state-certified technician, or degree in Electrical Engineering / Energy Technology / Industrial Engineering (specialising in electrical/renewables), completed with above-average results
• At least 2 years' relevant experience in energy technology / grid connection with a medium-voltage focus (switching authorisation a plus)
• Confident reading, interpreting and independently creating technical drawings (site plans, SLDs, circuit diagrams)
• Passion for the energy transition, ideally with prior knowledge of battery storage, PV or energy markets
• Calm, solution-oriented approach in complex environments, strong technology-business interface mindset, high ownership and drive
• Excellent German, written and spoken, to confidently represent complex topics to clients and authorities
