Job summary

ASP Equipment GmbH in Salem-Neufrach seeks a Project Buyer for Electronics & EEE Components to independently procure, qualify, and support flight-model projects, handling RFQs, negotiations and supplier selection. You will collaborate with Engineering, Product Assurance and Project Management to ensure cost, schedule and quality targets are met.

Qualifications

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Business Administration or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of professional experience in technical procurement, project procurement or supply chain management.
• Experience with electronic components, PCBs, electronic assemblies or EEE components preferred.
• Knowledge of space, aerospace or defense-related standards and quality requirements advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage procurement of Electrical, Electronic and Electromechanical (EEE) components for development, qualification and flight models.
• Prepare and issue RFQs and conduct negotiations with national and international suppliers.
• Manage procurement activities on a project basis with cost, quality and schedule objectives.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product Assurance, Configuration Management and Project Management teams.
• Select, evaluate and develop suppliers according to space industry requirements.
• Support obsolescence management, substitutions and long-lead item procurement.
• Review technical specifications, datasheets and procurement requirements.
• Monitor supplier delivery performance and manage escalations.
• Maintain supplier/procurement data within the ERP system.

Job description

We are looking to strengthen our team in Salem-Neufrach:

Project Buyer – Electronics & EEE Components (m/f/d)

• Independently manage the procurement of Electrical, Electronic and Electromechanical (EEE) components for development, qualification and flight models
• Prepare and issue requests for quotation (RFQs) and conduct commercial, pricing and contractual negotiations with national and international suppliers
• Manage and monitor procurement activities on a project basis with regard to cost, quality and schedule objectives
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product Assurance, Configuration Management and Project Management teams
• Select, evaluate and develop suppliers in accordance with space industry requirements and project needs
• Support obsolescence management activities, component substitutions and long-lead item procurement
• Review and assess technical specifications, datasheets and procurement requirements
• Monitor supplier delivery performance and manage escalations related to schedule delays or quality issues
• Maintain and continuously improve supplier and procurement data within the ERP system.
• Successfully completed degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Business Administration or a comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in technical procurement, project procurement or supply chain management within a technology-driven industry
• Ideally, experience with electronic components, printed circuit boards (PCBs), electronic assemblies or EEE components
• Knowledge of space, aerospace or defense-related standards and quality requirements would be an advantage
• Solid technical understanding of electronic systems and development projects
• Strong communication and negotiation skills when working with international suppliers
• Structured, self-driven and solution-oriented working style
• Excellent German and English language skills, both written and spoken.
